Okay, so you're probably wondering what the purpose of The Resource is. Okay, so, how many of you have a website, blog, roleplay game, or anything along the lines of, that you want people to notice? A lot of you, right? And most websites are either only for advertising RPGs (like the RPG Collection, RPG Circle, etc.) or you have to pay for a space on it? Well, the first half of of this website is a small organized area where you can advertise your blog, RPG, website, whatever, as long as it's appropriate. The second part of the site is one that I think I personally would find most helpful. I've been making websites since I was in...like...fourth grade. I know basic HTML. Like how to center things, underline them, put them in italics, make them bold, etc. Though, i wish there had been a place I could go where it told me all the basic things I needed to know. Like how to change the color or size of something, how to put in say, a table, or a text box, or how to put pictures up. Well, that's exactly what this part of the site is dedicated to. Hopefully it will help everyone! So, I spent quite a while getting this place up and running, so...I hope you like it!

Chatbox
No posting ads. Period. This will get your message deleted and a two week chatbox ban. You may link to a website in your name, but, it can not be an inappropriate website, and you can not say anything that draws attention to your link (things like "hey, click my name!" etc.) From this, you could get a ban anywhere from two weeks to a month to permeant. No spamming. This means you can't post more than two messages in a row. No exceptions. This will get you a one week chatbox ban. No cursing or inappropriate phrases in the chatbox. This is an all-ages website and that will absolutely not be tolerated. It will easily earn you a two week chatbox ban. No snapping at people. That includes arguments and fights. Earns you a week to two week chatbox ban. No posing as other players. It's a one-time permanent chatbox ban, possibly a forum ban, depending on the situation. No links in the chatbox whatsoever. Be nice to everyone.
Forum
No copying anything from the website. It's illegal, and we are not afraid to take legal action against those who break this rule. No insulting or fighting with other members any place on the website, including in PMs. Do not ask other members to join or tell them about your website through PMs or emails. We ask that if this happens to you, to report it to us so we can take action against the member who sent the PM/email. Do not write in chatspeak anywhere on the website (especially the questions boards) exceptions are "lmao", "rofl", and "lol", in the chatbox only. If your signature image stretches the forum, staff can resize it without word. If you resize it back to it's original size, staff will remove it and PM you a stern warning. If your icon exceeds 100x100, staff will resize it. Same as the signature image rules, if you resize it back, the picture will be removed and you will be PMed a stern warning. No inappropriate topics or words or phrases should be posted anywhere on the website. This could get you a temporary or permanent ban, no exceptions. If you post links or pictures of inappropriate things anywhere on the website, it's an instant, permeant ban. No exceptions.
Advertising
When submitting and advertisment, you must fill out the entire provided form, unless a field clearly says "optional". If not done so, your ad will not be posted. It can take up to 5 days for your ad to be posted, so do not rush staff. Though, if it is not posted within those 5 days, you can message the admin (Cassidy) and ask her why it has not been posted. Any website advertised here must have our banner located somewhere on it. If it does not or we can not find it, your advertisment will not be posted. We will alert you if that is why are ad is not being posted. The code for our banner is located at the bottom of this thread. We do "banner checks" every week, sometimes twice a week, so don't think you can get away with taking our banner down once your ad has been posted. Do not submit your ad a second time if it has already been placed on the forum. You can post as many ads as you want, but they all have to be for different websites!
Others
You can talk about whatever you please in Free Talk, but please no cursing, no inappropriate topics, and be kind to everyone. Moderators will especially keep an eye on this board, so don't think you can get away with breaking the rules here. No ads or spamming in Free Talk. No exceptions. Action will be taken if you break either of these rules. No images or links in Free Talk. If you break this rule, you could get anywhere from a 3 week to permanent ban, no exceptions.

FAQ
Below are some of the most frequently asked questions here at The Recourse. This may answer some of your questions.
Q) Why can't I write a reply in any places where advertisements are posted?
A) Because the way I have the board organized, I have sections of it for just the advertisements. There is a suggestion board as well as a complaints/praise board for posting. Also, there is a chat board where you are welcome to free talk. I just have it where you can't post on the actual advertisement threads so it stays nice and tidy. But, if you have a question about that specific board, you can go to the Questions board and post your question. Just be sure to specify which board you are asking about.
Q) Why didn't you put up the ad for my website/blog/RPG?
A) Because either you didn't use the proper form (this form can be found in "Submit An Ad" thread under the "Advertise A Website" Board) it contained inappropriate content, or the form wasn't filled out all the way or did not give me the correct information. Note that it can take up to five days for your ad to be sorted out and posted. Before you jump to the conclusion that it has not been posted, make sure it's been the full five days, and that you've checked all of the sub-boards. After that, you can Personal Message the admin (go to the side-bar with the quick-link to her profile, then select "Send Personal Message" and let her know your ad has not been posted. She will reply and let you know what's going on.
Q) Why did you make this site?
A) Well, the answer to that question is a little lengthy, so, instead of re-typing it here in the FAQ, you can just refer to the side-bar labeled "The Purpose". There you will find a full description on why I made this website.
Q) How do I become staff on here?
A) Sorry, but I pretty much only my real-life friends as staff. I have had past websites that have been hacked and ruined by past staff that I thought I could trust, and I just don't want to make that mistake again. If i have known you for a long time, i may ask you to become staff. If you beg or ask me to be staff though, it just about ruins your chances. Thanks for taking an interest being staff though. (:
